Inventory Accountant

We have an excellent opportunity for an Inventory Accountant in our Troy, Ohio manufacturing facility.
In this position, the successful candidate will perform the following job responsibilities:
• Responsible for coordination of platn and outside vendor cycle count activities conducted on various schedules including review for accuracy and approval of counts as per policy.

• Work with PDM and Purchasing departments to correct Bill of Material issues causing inventory variances.

• Works closely with Plant Purchasing, Receiving and IT to resolve inventory transaction variances including analysis of negative quantities on-hand, validation of direct shipment transactions and canceled order transactions.

• Reviews and resolves discrepancies involving cycle count activity reports.

• Support physical inventory processes.

• Complete month end closing responsibilities including reconciling accounts, and generating closing entries and reports.

• Provide support to all functionalities as needed.


  • Associates degree in Accounting. Business Management or Finance.
  • Minimum of one year prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Oracle ERP Applications experience is highly desirable.
  • Product knowledge beneficial.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
