We have an excellent opportunity for a Process Engineer - Packaging in our Troy, Ohio location.

In this position, the successful candidate will perform the following job responsibilities:

In partnership with Engineering Manager, develop and execute plans to handle various assigned projects to successful completion, on time, and within budget in accordance with sound engineering principles.

Provide technical advice and assistance to the Engineering Manager in the following areas:

  • Feasibility studies
    Project specifications
    Major capital expenditures
    Developing industrial engineering and functional specifications for equipment and work space layout.
    Preparing bidding specifications and documents for procurement of equipment.
    Coordinating product changes with current manufacturing methods, develop new methods where required.
    Prepare CERs for justification of equipment.
    Time studies, staffing placement, and process mapping for maximum effectiveness.

Research and develop special plans and studies to ascertain feasibility, e.g. capital equipment purchases, expansion of facilities plant layout changes, building alterations, estimate outlays, cost reductions and manufacturing economics.

Provide technical support to operations personnel to assure that manufacturing processes are functioning within acceptable quality and productivity guidelines. Coordinate any changes with production supervision.

Prepare preliminary layouts and drawings as required to define projects. If required, prepare detail layouts and drawings as necessary to implement project.

Prepare necessary reports, studies and calculations as required to document concept, methods, design findings, and recommendations of project.

Through various forms of education, keep abreast of new developments in industrial and process engineering and industrial engineering techniques, machines, equipment, materials, etc., and incorporate the innovations in the engineering functions to the best advantage of the company.

In accordance with sound engineering principles and theory, analyze and resolve technical manufacturing equipment problems, develop specifications, formulate plans, estimates and other required data and effectively recommend same for approval.

Using process engineering techniques, increase efficiency of existing processes through improved layouts, raw material replenishment, DFT, 5S, production scheduling, functional cross-training, etc.

Collaborate with Manufacturing, Maintenance and Product Engineering personnel to mutually resolve problems relative to and affecting engineering and technical operational procedures.

With Product Engineering and Design and Development staffs, coordinate the implementation of new products and/or product changes so to minimize costs and interruption to operations.

Provide technical safety assistance as required.

Communicate and cooperate with Design and Development group in the design and implementation of projects assigned them.


The successful candidate will meet the following minimum requirements:

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering discipline, preferably with a Packaging concentration.

Minimum of two years experience in a manufacturing environment.

Must have a good operating understanding of manufacturing equipment and processes.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
